I like to reflect on how well that applies to software development. Candidate interviews particularly give food for thought.

I totally agree with you. India is far behind in sharing. In fact if you meet just passed college graduates they only talk about visio studio .net asp.net etc .. even some of them don't know how to install a software using linux shell. So it's shame and how many of us are contributing to open source development.. very few
